I'm a transplanted Midwesterner living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Portland and New York City are my two favorite places I've lived (although I love my hometown in Missouri too!)
In my time in NYC I worked in the theater doing wardrobe and costume design for Off-Broadway (and the infamous Off-Off Broadway) theaters. Second Stage Theater, Manhattan Theater Club, National Asian American Theater Company and the now folded but historic Circle Repertory Theater were some of the places I worked. My stories takes place primarily in that great city as a tribute to my time there. I’ve put the theater life behind me but those days remain some of my most treasured memories.
